About me

Hi, I'm Marta

For over 15 years I have been helping people feel good in their own bodies. My favourite moment is when someone gets up from the treatment table and says: “that feels lighter”.

As a physiotherapist I often saw pain come back because its cause lay somewhere other than the symptom. I wanted to understand the body as a whole, so after years of practice I went back to study and completed a four-year osteopathy programme.

Working with the youngest patients is especially close to my heart. A baby can't tell you what's wrong, so I have learned to listen with my hands and observe carefully. I explain everything I do to parents, because a calm parent means a calmer baby.

I never rush. I take the time to talk, examine you thoroughly and explain in plain language what is going on and what you can do at home. Visits with me can be held in English.

Before your visit

How to prepare

A few small things will make the visit calmer and help me understand what's going on more quickly. A visit takes about 60 minutes.

Baby or child

Visit with a child

Bring with you

  • your child's health record book and hospital discharge notes from the birth
  • test results and specialist reports, if you have any (e.g. hip ultrasound, neurology consultation)
  • a nappy, wipes, a blanket or a dummy
  • a bottle, or be ready to breastfeed if your baby gets hungry

Good to know

  • dress your baby in clothes that are easy to take off, e.g. a bodysuit with poppers
  • record a short video of what worries you, e.g. how your baby holds their head or how feeding goes
  • crying, feeding or a nap during the visit are perfectly fine: I work at your baby's pace

Adults

Visit for adults

Bring with you

  • imaging results with reports: X-ray, MRI, ultrasound
  • medical records from your doctor and a list of medicines you take
  • comfortable clothes: shorts or leggings and a vest top

Good to know

  • avoid a heavy meal right before the visit
  • think about when the pain started, what makes it worse and what brings relief
  • arrive 5 minutes early so you can change without rushing

Questions

Before you come

Your question isn't here? Call the registration desk of the clinic you prefer.

Can the visit be in English?

Yes. I speak English and can run the whole visit in English. The ZnanyLekarz booking calendar is in Polish, but you only need to pick a time and enter your name and phone number. Clinic registration desks may speak Polish only, so online booking is often the easiest option.

Does the therapy hurt my baby?

No. Osteopathic techniques for babies are very gentle and use only light pressure. Many babies calm down during the session and some fall asleep.

From what age can I bring my child?

From the first weeks of life. The earlier you notice worrying signs, the easier it is to help.

How many visits will be needed?

That depends on the problem. After the first visit I'll tell you what to expect and when it's worth coming back.

Do I need a referral?

No. I see patients privately, without a referral.

Does an osteopath replace a doctor?

No. Osteopathy complements medical care. If I notice anything that needs a doctor's attention, I will tell you straight away.

Which clinic should I book?

Whichever is closer to you or has a more convenient time. I work at Medin Klinika on Tuesdays, Wednesday mornings and Fridays, and at ProfiReha on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You'll find the addresses and maps in the Clinics section.
